Severian is Rainbows- exercise by Shazzbaa Severian is Rainbows- exercise by Shazzbaa
So I stole this exercise/challenge from :iconvert-is-ninja: ! Here is the blank one: [link]

I do not have the time to be doing these; how does this keep happening?

Last time I did Tareth, this time, her best friend Severian! Downwards 3/4ths is by far my favourite.
As before, I am open to any critiques or suggestions on consistency here. :3 I will admit that I got a little lazy with his horns, but overall I think it's an improvement from the last one. Perhaps I was distracted by his underbite and/or hair.

Teehe! I love SEV SOOO MUCH! :D

Besides the eye placement, I think the width of the head changes slightly between poses, sometimes it's wider and in others it's more narrow. Sev is SOO hard to keep consistent because he has SO much going on, but I have noticed that you are getting closer to keeping him more consistent through your work. You just need to draw him as much as you draw Jonan and then he'll be perfect. XDDD

Also I LOVE seeing him in color.

Oh, thanks for that catch. That's probably a big one, since he's one of the few not-freakishly-skinny characters I have. ^^;

Glad you liked! :heart:

Dude, his hair is awesome! I am so glad you are doing more, they are rocking! I am in love with the fifth panel, but they're all badass. I still can't get over the detail you put in his hair. JEALOUS!

Thanks for doing another! ; o;

Aww, thank ye! :aww: His hair is probably the most challenging thing about drawing his face over and over again, haha!

I'm enjoying the exercise A LITTLE TOO MUCH, so there's at least one more that needs to be shaded. XD Thanks for making it for us!

It looks great Shazz! One thing I would do though is watch how the eyes travel along with the form. Sometimes they get too close, or too big. Maybe that's your style, maybe it's not. Just sayin' Anyways, great work.

Thank ye! :aww: And thanks very much for pointing that out! :heart: Eyes are a thing I apparently still need to work on.

I know from TNH you draw your friends and family, so you must have had many different life models before this point in your art career. Eye placement is still very difficult for me, understand how the eyes are shaped and how they sit in someones head is the key to success. I also noticed that when you draw people, you don't give them much of a forehead, which is probably why you're eyes look so large. maybe that could help to? Anyways your consistancy is awesome. ;) Good job.
