Armour of God Designs

So while I was acting in my church's Haunted House alternative, AnchorSoul, I was also doing art for Junior AnchorSoul, the kids' version. They had a theme with the armour of God (helmet of salvation, shield of faith, sword of the spirit etc.) in Ephesians, and one of our pastors talked about how cool it would be to have colouring pages for the kids to take home, with a visualisation of the armour.

He then bemoaned how terrible and dated all the clipart he found online was when searching for "Armor of God." I offered to help. :3

It was kind of a cool project, because one thing Pastor Liter really wanted to do was have more than just "Generic White Guy" wearing the armour -- so I got to do a few different versions. I worked harder on conceptualising these designs than anyone will ever know, because I really did want it to look cool, but it also had to have all the parts (AND OH MY GOODNESS why would you use the translation of Ephesians that describes the shoes as "sandals." I had quite a time trying to make sandals look like they fit with the armour.)

In the end I think it worked out! The pastor was really happy with them, and hopefully kids has some fun colouring these. :3
